Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. All it takes to go from basic and boring to a relaxing retreat are some of these creative ideas. Hope they help you out.
1. No pressure
The first thing that you’re highly encouraged to do while setting up your room is to not put pressure on yourself. A lot of times when we move in our new home we have high expectations and we want everything put together right away or we overwhelm ourselves, and you don’t want to do that. You should take your time and enjoy the process.

2. DE clutter
You need to get everything out of the room that is taking up space but serves no purpose. You can also sell those items to get funds for redecorating your room.
3. Paint
Paint is an easy and cost conscious way to make a big change in any space. Use a neutral palette to paint the walls. It makes it easy for you to layer color and texture in the rest of the room. Introduce an accent color to draw focus to one particular wall of the room.
4. Texture and pattern
Texture and pattern are important in any room. They can be intimidating to choose from. One easy way to introduce pattern is to repeat it. You can add variations of it on the textiles and accessories. Be sure to bring a variety of textures into play.
5. Comfort
You want to make your bedroom comfortable and cozy. Add soft items to the room like some throw pillows, throw blanket or a rug. Rugs are a great way to make your bedroom cozy and tie colors of the decor together. There is a wide variety of beautiful rugs available where you could get rugs for sale at a very nice rate.

6. Let the sunlight in
A well lit room can completely transform the outlook of the decor. And the best way to do that is to let the natural light make way inside your room. For this purpose you can hang thin drapes on your windows. However if you don’t like to wake up at the crack of dawn then you can put blackout shades behind the drapes and open them up later when you’re awake.
7. Create a focal point
You need to make one place of your room the main focus point and design around that. A Focal point of your room can be a window, fireplace or an accent wall.
8. Save space for storage
If you have a small room then you can get really creative with creating storage space for your stuff. You can also get multipurpose furniture like a bed that also serves as a dresser. Or you can make storage space behind the mirror.
9. Bring the outdoors in
This is the cheapest way to decorate your room. You can go out in your backyard and collect flowers. Put those flowers in a beautiful vase and you have a fresh and amazing smelling room.
